about david
I graduated from Lindenwood
University with my Master’s
Degree in Professional
Counseling followed by becoming
a Licensed Professional
Counselor. Licensing
requirements vary by state, but
as an LPC in Missouri, I
completed a Master's Degree in
Counseling (MA), two years
supervised clinical work, passed
a licensing exam, and take 40
hours of approved continuing
education every two years.
I am also a Nationally Certified
Counselor (NCC), have taken post
graduate work towards my Ph.D.
at St. Louis University and am
completing a doctorate program
in counseling studies at Capella
University.
I strive to provide
psychotherapy that helps clients
find more support and freedom in
their lives.
I take great care to provide
a safe relationship where
clients have the opportunity to
engage their lives and rekindle
what may feel lost or absent. I
work with my clients
toward healing in a thoughtful,
present, and emotionally focused
manner. With the client, I pay
particular attention to
identifying the personal and
interpersonal obstacles that may
prevent engagment in life
and relationships.
The goal is to offer the
space and commitment of an
honest and collaborative
relationship in which to journey
toward healing and
self-discovery - creating a
meaningful and practical place
to restore order and build
comfort. |
